Golden Healing (Kintsugi)

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold, rendering a new piece that is stronger and more exquisite than it was before. The imperfections are now what make it unique, beautiful and valuable… sounds relatable?

It all started with a DM. Aria and Stefano had come across Osasioo’s music, and took a shot at contacting him. He connected with their music instantly too. It was then that the three knew, only something magical could happen if a Canadian- Nigerian RnB sensation and a Colombian Pop Country power couple came together for a song.

Trying to avoid the love/heartbreak/cheating clichés typical of a collaboration among three artists, they delved deeper. Aria remembered an ancient form of art she had read about: KINTSUGI– and started writing from her soul about hardships, healing, and how scars evolve into strengths. Stefano, moved by the depth of the concept, began recording some broken-like pianos. Osasioo wrote a piercing, heartfelt verse. And just like broken pottery, the song started mending together from different parts of the world- written by all three, produced by Stefano. Golden Healing (Kintsugi) is a masterpiece anthem for humanity.

“We live in heartbreaking times, and as artists, we can help the world hurt less. We may come from different backgrounds, but all human beings share painful stories… Golden Healing wants to encourage everyone to alchemize their scars into something beautiful. There’s power in honoring them, while there’s pain in hiding them to pretend an unreal perfection,” adds Aria. The single will debut July 19th, along with an official music video.
